Rick Anderson - Founder and Executive Chairman of Mom's Meals.
Rick Anderson is the founder and Executive Chairman of Mom’s Meals. Founded as a family business in 1999 with a goal of preparing and delivering nutritious meals directly to private homes, Rick served as CEO for over 20 years.
As the company grew, Rick’s focus evolved from overseeing day-to-day operations to concentrating on long-term strategic planning, management efficiency, and special projects. While remaining family operated, Mom’s Meals has grown into an industry-leading, nationwide platform for home-delivered refrigerated meal programs.
Before founding Mom’s Meals, Rick owned and operated an engineering construction company in his home state of Iowa for 34 years. Completed projects he managed exceeded $1-billion dollars.
With a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, Rick and his family are lifelong, proud Iowans.
His philanthropic outlets include funding for “Count the Kicks,” a nationwide organization focused on preventing unborn child distress and stillborn babies, and ongoing support for his church and other local charities.
Rick is a member of the Wake Forest University Advisory Board for the School of Entrepreneurship and a founder and financial contributor to the Harbour Island Trade School.
